Givenchy is the first brand to come forward with their Fall 2011 beauty plans. Givenchy’s Fall Collection is called Je Veux La Lune (French for ‘I Want The Moon’). Its main source of inspiration comes from none other than la lune itself. Creator Nicolas Degennes loves the Moon ‘for the femininity and softness that it suggests, for its light and shadows, for the adorning veil that it delicately places over our lives.’
The collection will be available this Fall and as of now, prices have not yet been released. Je Veux La Lune will be sold online and at Givenchy counters nationwide. The collection includes eye shadow, blush, lipstick, gloss, and eye liner.
“I wanted to take a cinema makeup technique that has always intrigued me and apply it to beauty. The ‘American night’ demands a different way of working with light; complexion must radiate in bold contrasts, like for a black and white image. I wanted the Moon…For you,” Nicolas Degennes said of the collection.
