Balenciaga gave retailers and editors an up-close look at their Fall collection this morning in their Paris showroom. The silk and faux leather black jacket and vests that opened Balenciaga’s Paris show last week were among the other Fall must-haves. The vests will retail for $10,000, but the 7-pound jacket most likely will not be produced.
Among the handbags and surprisingly heavy outerwear was a product category new to Balenciaga- dog leashes and collars! These new designs were inspired by designer Nicolas Ghesquiere’s chocolate Labrador named Fred, and will be available in rose, yellow, green, and orange come this Fall. Made from calfskin and vegetal leather, the leashes and collars will retail between $275 and $295. Now, all we need is a dog…
