The Best Prices On Designer Clothes

Target GO International Re-Releases Pieces From Their Top Designer Collaborations!

About five years ago, Target became a major trendsetter (hard to believe, we know!) in retail. Traditionally known for budget clothing that actually looks like budget clothing, Target wasn’t expected to become a major player in the world of fashion retail.

So, the world was shocked when Target announced a designer collaboration with Fiorucci in December of 2005. What shocked us more was the fact that this was only the first designer collaboration- Target GO International would go on to release exclusive lines with designers like Proenza Schouler, Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui, Zac Posen, and our new favorite, Rodarte.

Now, over five years after the first collaboration emerged, Target has halted the production of new designer lines, and has just launched a new collection, bringing back 34 of its most popular dresses from 17 of the 22 designers. Here are our top picks:

1. Jovovich-Hawk. Although not typically a fan of polka dots, we can’t resist the Chiffon Dot Print Dress ($39.99.). It’s shape is loose, but yet, still has a feminine, slimming effect. The soft, light fabric makes this dress effortlessly chic!

2. Jovovich-Hawk. In today’s world, most floral pieces run the risk of looking frumpy and old fashioned. Needless to say, we’re typically not admirers of floral prints on, well, anything. But somehow, the Floral Dress in Multicolor ($39.99) is the exception! Available for a limited time, the dress features girly florals on a light background, creating an insanely adorable boho-chic vibe.

3. Erin Featherston. To be honest, we were a bit unsure what to think when learning that some of the pieces in the new collection would be black. Not that there’s anything wrong with that- the Little Black Dress is famous for a reason! But this isn’t Chanel- this is Target, in Spring, a time when very few of us opt for black. So, we were pleasantly surprised upon seeing the Layered Dress ($44.99), which features black tiered layers and a large satin bow. It’s adorable for a Girls’ Night Out, but the length and spaghetti straps make it Spring-appropriate!

4. Rodarte. Contrary to popular belief, it wasn’t Tavi Gevinson who made us fall in love with Rodarte, or Natalie Portman’s fuchsia Academy Awards gown, for that matter. It was instead Black Swan, the slightly overrated film about the deranged ballerina, which has become our obsession these past few months. The Slip Dress ($44.99), featuring a pale peach silhouette, is extremely reminiscent of the Rodarte-designed costumes in the award-winning film, especially when paired with edgy black accessories, as shown. We’re in love.

5. Rodarte. The LA-based design team’s second contribution to the line is the Lace-Print Dress ($39.99), an adorably sweet above-the-knee dress that will be extremely hard to resist! The dress is loaded with feminine, but the contrasting black lace gives it an edgy-chic look.

6. Alice Temperley. Although we cannot quite figure out why the Crepe Dress ($44.99) is named after a French pancake, it still managed to make our list of favorites. Featuring an empire waist, the dress is extremely versatile, with the possibility to wear it during the warmer months because of its short length, as well as the ease of pairing it with nude tights for a more formal occasion when temperatures drop.

The new collection appeared in stores and online yesterday, and will be available until April 10th.
