SPRING BREAK!!!

Finally, after literally everyone I know has had their Spring Break a month ago, I'm now on mine! Technically, I've been out of school since Friday, but I've been super busy lately, and haven't had time to post this!

Now, I finally have some time. It's 1 AM and I'm sitting on my bed in my giant FIT dorm room, after finally figuring out how to make pasta. (BIG ACCOMPLSHMENT) Also, it's Passover today (I had no idea either), and tomorrow night is the second night. My mom is FINALLY coming to visit me in NYC (Tomorrow!), after 8 months of living here.

Later this week, I have an interview at a Beauty PR firm, which would be absolutly perfect if I get the job. Well, the internship. Especially since I'm changing my major for my Bachelor's Degree. I'm going from Fashion Merchandising Management to Cosmetics & Fragrance Marketing. Or, at least, I'm trying.

FIT is a little different than most schools- You apply for an Associate's, and then reapply for your Bachelor's, either in the same major or a more specific one. The problem is, what happens if you don't get in? In that case, you're pretty much screwed, with no school to go to. So, I'm doing everything in my power to assure that I get accepted, which means a second internship in a more beauty-related field, although I do love JoonBug and I write about cosmetics whenever possible. That being said, watch out for a post on a new cosmetics line each morning at 9 AM until Friday! :)

Back to Spring Break. One thing I really miss about Florida is that wherever I was, I was always 5 minutes from the beach, and a beautiful beach at that! Clear, blue water, soft white sand, and overweight tourists.... I could definitely do without that last one! But just because I won't be relaxing on the shore, doesn't mean I can't enjoy the fabulous swimsuit styles for spring and summer!

This year is pretty different than prior years when it comes to Spring. Usually I go for brighter, louder prints and designs, with hard-to-miss quirky, grily details. But this season, I'm finding myself more attracted to black suits with smaller, more subtle details, like lace-up, cutout, and slight ruffle. Here are a few of my favorites:

J Crew Drew polka-dot swimsuit ($80)

Shimmi Nicole lace-up bandeau bikini ($185)

Gucci Cutout one-shoulder swimsuit ($495)

Shimmi Limor lace-up one-shoulder swimsuit ($250)

Miu Miu Ruffled bandeau bikini ($245)
