Finally, Someone Shares Our Love Of Costumes!
We all know what the best part of every movie is. It’s not the actors. It’s not the script. And it’s NOT the vampires, singing, or sex scenes… It’s the COSTUMES! (Déjà vu: Black Swan) So why not celebrate them?!
FIDM does just that- the museum is unveiling its 19th Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibit tomorrow, February 8th! The gallery will feature the original costumes from over 20 movies, all of which were nominated for 2011’s Oscar for Best Costume. A few of the ensembles included are those from “The King’s Speech”, “Alice in Wonderland,” “The Tempest,” “True Grit,” and many, many more.
The museum is open from Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 AM to 4PM. Admission is free to the public, and the museum is located at 919 S. Grand Avenue.
